Today we welcome Adam and Laura Watson and their family to First Baptist Church.
Adam is beginning his ministry with us as our Worship Pastor. As Worship Pastor, Adam will work on our music team alongside our Minister of Music David Logan. Adam will have primary leadership for the 6:00 PM Saturday and 11:00 AM Sunday services. Throughout this process, we have stressed the importance of making this a collaborative, team effort. I am thankful for the desire of David and Adam to do that.
In fact, I have asked all of our pastors to make collaboration and teamwork an emphasis. God tells us that we need wise counsel, “Without counsel plans go wrong, but with many advisers they succeed” (Proverbs 15:22). Adam has amazing gifts and skills and a heart for the Lord and ministry in His name. I am looking forward to all that God will do through his leadership.
Adam is coming to us from First Baptist Church of Tomball, Texas, where he has served since 2010 in a similar capacity. Prior to that time, he served for six years on the staff of Champion Forest Baptist Church in Houston.
Adam and Laura have been married seventeen years. They have four children: Annabelle, William, Elizabeth (Ellie), and Emma (two sets of twins) ages 9 and 5.
