Thankful for Leaders

Martha and I are visiting our daughter Emily and her family this weekend in Virginia. We are here for Martha to speak to the women’s group of First Baptist Church of Woodbridge, Virginia, where Brad, our son-in-law, serves as pastor.

While I am away for the weekend (I will be back in the office Monday) Chris Kroll, our Student Pastor, will be preaching.

I am thankful for Chris and the entire pastoral team for the way they provide leadership and spiritual care for the congregation. Even when I am away, I am always assured that you are going to be well cared for.

Please join with me in thanking and encouraging them in their labor for the gospel.

“Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you” ( Hebrews 13:17).
