Thanks for a Great Beginning!

Thanks for a great beginning!

I want to thank you for participating with us last week in our groundbreaking ceremony for our expansion to the campus of First Baptist Church, Covington, Louisiana.

We had a large number of people who stayed and participated in the ceremony. I am especially thankful for Parish President Pat Brister, Covington Mayor Mike Cooper, state Treasurer John Kennedy, and state Senator Jack Donohue for joining us for the ceremony.

In addition we had Covington city councilmen Sam O’keefe and Lee Alexius, who are members of our congregation.

We were privileged to have representatives from Donahue – Favrat Contractors, HH Architects, and First NBC Bank with as well as the leaders of our congregation.

We recognize we have a long way to go before completion (estimated late, 2018), but we have gotten off to a good start with our rise up pledges, the gifts that have come in to date, and the beginning of the project.

Please join with me in praying for the favor of God over this expansion. We have seen amazing blessings, and we have much to be thankful for.

I particularly give thanks for being able to serve and to have served as pastor of this congregation. May God bless us today and in the future.
